Dvarím/Palabras/”Dt.” 30:9: “ADONAI your Elohim will bless and prosper every work of your hands, fruit of sine, and that of your cattle and your land, for your sake. And He will rejoice in making you happy, as He did with your forefathers.”.

PARASHAH COMENTARY

“THE PROSPERITY THAT COMES FROM THE HANDS OF ELOHIM”

    There are two types of prosperity: the one that comes from Elohim and that does not come from Him. The prosperity that comes not from Elohim is a dream that soon becomes a nightmare, because we are diverted from its path, because we believe that our intelligence gave us what we possess. Therefore logically, we begin to rely increasingly on our intelligence for all, and this is where, sooner or later, something begins to go wrong, and we can no longer recover, because the source of our prosperity was not founded on the rock, but in the mud of our pride and our approach, which, in the long run, is worth little or nothing, although in the short term we believe that we know what we do and what we think.

    If we are with Elohim, He will not allow that we receive prosperity until we are ready and prepared, mentally and spiritually, to receive it. The reason is that we have big egos, or are we going to use the money to do illicit things, or we will become workaholics. To avoid this, Elohim will not allow that we receive what we should not. He is going to give us prosperity only when we are ready to receive it.

    So it says in Dvarim 8:11-17: "Beware do not forget about ADONÁI your Elohim… so that you don't eat and feel satisfied, and build good homes in which you would dwell, and as your cows and your sheep increase, and the silver and gold that you posess should multiply… and pride your heart, and you forget your Elohim your ADONÁI… don't say, hence, in your heart: With the power and strength of my hand I have brought this wealth".

Dvarim/”Dt.” 29:5-6: “During forty years I've led you through the desert. Your garments have not worn out nor have your sandals aged on your feet. You have not eaten bread nor have you drank wine or cider, so that you may learn that I am your ADONAI, your Elohim".

PARASHAH COMENTARY

“WHAT HAS ELOHIM DONE IN YOUR LIFE?”

         Elohim has brought some of us for many years through the desert of our lives, we don't understand why, but we crossed the sand, we felt very hot, we've experienced dangerous levels of thirst and for prolonged periods we felt very hungry, and yet we survived, we don't know how, but it is because HE was with us and helped us, even though we didn't see him, nor recognized His Presence.

         Elohim likes to be with us, accompanying us through our lives, in our daily routine, lending us "a hand".

         ¿How has your life been during the desert? ¿How have you withstood the heat, the lack of food, the solitude of walking alone under the sun of life?
