COMMENTARY ON THE PARASHAH

"THE LONG JOURNEY THAT IS OUR LIFE"

This Parasha is talking about the long journey of the Jewish People from slavery in Mitzraim to liberty in Israel, the Promised Land. Besides being a historic journey of a specific people, the Parasha is a parable of our own life as well as the lives of all human beings, who are born in the most profound spiritual, mental and physical obscurity, bound to Mitzraim, slavery, vices, materialism, the flesh and its petty and its passing desires.

It is a physical journey that is compared to a mental and spiritual journey which is open to all human beings. We are born in the night of the soul and the spirit. We are born lost and “without hope in the world” (Ep 2:12), slaves of Nimrod and his polytheistic and idolatrous religion, with millions of gods, full of lies and deceit, only with the consolation of the flesh, the fish, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic which we miss so terribly, poor us if we don´t have them. Elohim offers man to us (from mah = what?), which represents the spiritual life, the food that comes from Above/mi le Malah, but instead, we are crying because we miss so much the meat and the onions.

This is the question: what are we going to ask for? Meat or man? And also: how long are we going to crave for the meat and the garlic?

¿Por qué es tan importante cerciorarse de cuál idioma es que fue escrito originalmente el Pacto Renovado?  Porque cada idioma posee una estructura interna, un “sabor” peculiar, modismos propios, y además trae todo un bagaje cultural.  Todos estos elementos dan forma a la manera de pensar de aquellos que lo hablan.  Si uno desea comprender con precisión y con cierta profundidad el idioma de Ieshúa y Sus discípulos, uno debería leer Sus palabras, ya sea, en el idioma original, como hacen los judíos con el Tanáj, i.e., el “Antiguo Testamento”, o tratar de reconstruirlo del idioma que uno tenga a mano.  Además, los modismos de un idioma solo se comprenden enteramente en ese idioma y no en otro.  Para traducir modismos de un idioma a otro directamente, no solo hace que suene absurdo, sino que denota su origen foráneo.

Todos estos elementos mencionados, deben ser tomados en cuenta cuando uno trata de contestar la pregunta inicial, que cuál es la importancia del idioma original del Pacto Renovado.

¡eL  DESEo de elohim para sus hijos es BENDECIRlos Y PROSPERARlos!

Debemos entender que la prosperidad y las bendiciones ya sea en la parte espiritual, en la familia o en el trabajo depende de que Sus palabras estén escritas en nuestros corazones y las hagamos parte de nuestras vidas y así permitir que El nos dé los regalos que tiene para nosotros.

Sería bueno meditar y ver cómo nos estamos manejando de acuerdo a lo  que Elohím nos exhorta a través de Sus palabras en los siguientes versículos que vamos a compartir:

En Iehoshúa 1: 7: “ Solamente esfuérzate y sé muy valiente para cuidar hacer conforme a toda la Toráh que mi siervo Moshéh te mando, no te apartes de ella ni a diestra ni a siniestra, para que seas prosperado en todas las cosas que emprendas”

"THE SEVEN RULES FOR AN EFFECTIVE

MARRIAGE"

Once a reporter asked a famous man what the secret of his 50 years marriage was. The answer was: “The formula is the same that I used to manufacture what I manufacture: I dedicate always to the same model”.

In messianic Judaism and according to the renewed Covenant it is very difficult to divorce, for that reason it is necessary to understand well and put in practice some rules for the wellbeing of our actual or future marriage.

BASHERTER / OR DO WE CHOOSE?

As we write for messianic Jews/ renewed messianics, the first rule is that a successful marriage starts with Elohim and IN Elohim. He is the One who must choose the partner, not us. As our readers know, we believe that Elohim has predestinated everything, all the more such an important subject as our marriage. There is a basherte/r that had to be our spouse waiting for us (singles and divorced, obviously), according to the Elohim´s Will. Our prayer and that of our parents and grandparents should be that the two who are basherte/r/destined from before the foundation of the world, may find each other and come together.

Dice en Tehilím/Cantos de Alabanza/“Sal.” 31:15-16: “Mas yo confié en Adonái; dije: ´mi Elohím eres Tú´; en Tu Mano/beiadejá (están) Mis instantes/itotái; rescátame de la mano de mis enemigos y mis perseguidores”.

Debemos acercarnos más y más a este concepto de que cada instante de nuestra vida está en la Mano de Elohím y que de ella sale todo lo que nos sucede, segundo a segundo, ya que Él maneja el Universo, especialmente el mundo hecho de Sus seguidores y de sus familias y vidas. ¡Qué concepto profundo y lleno de instancias insospechadas es éste! ¿Quiere decir, acaso, que todo lo que nos sucedió en toda nuestra vida fue salido de Su Mano? ¡Así es! ¡Qué concepto inabarcable, aparentemente, con nuestra pobre mente!

Eso elimina por lo menos dos conceptos comunes para cualquier persona: la “suerte” y la “casualidad” para siempre. No existe ni la una ni la otra. Sólo existe Su Mano, que todo lo contiene y todo lo controla.

Hay una traba, sin embargo, para que esa frase se haga realidad: nuestro ego, que desea controlar y manejar nuestra vida. Debemos aprender de Ieshúa, que vino a hacer la Voluntad del Padre, y no la suya propia. Debemos dejar que sea Ieshúa dentro de nuestro rúaj/espíritu, quien controle nuestros instantes, pidiéndoselo en oración. “Ába/Papito,[1] te pido que Tú manejes mi vida, mis pensamientos, mi habla y mis actos

a través de Ieshúa dentro mío. Que no sea yo quien lo piensa ni lo hace sino Tú, porque sólo Tú sabes lo que es mejor para mi vida y para el día de hoy”.

Este concepto es el summum de la Venida de Ieshúa: Ieshúa vino, entre otras cosas, para sustituir nuestro ego por Su actuar en nuestra vida, para que nuestra vida sea cada día dirigida por Él, manejada por Él y no por nuestro egotismo, que todo lo quiere, todo lo desea para sí, aun creyendo en Ieshúa, no puede evitarlo.

Cada instante de nuestra vida debe reflejar la Voluntad de Elohím, Su querer en nuestra habla, en lo que hacemos y pensamos. Cada instante debe provenir de Su mano, como dice la Tehiláh citada arriba y no de nosotros. ¿Por qué? Porque Él sabe mejor lo que nos conviene pensar, hablar y hacer, de lo que nosotros mismos sabemos, que no somos más que seres mortales y perecederos, que hoy estamos y mañana ya no. En cambio, Elohím es el Creador de todos nosotros, de todo lo que existe en el Universo. Y todo lo ha creado con un propósito específico para nuestro bien.

Este concepto es el summum de la Venida de Ieshúa: Ieshúa vino, entre otras cosas, para sustituir nuestro ego por Su actuar en nuestra vida, para que nuestra vida sea cada día dirigida por Él, manejada por Él y no por nuestro egotismo, que todo lo quiere, todo lo desea para sí, aun creyendo en Ieshúa, no puede evitarlo.

Is. 48:17: “Así dice Elohím, tu Redentor, el Santo de Israel. Yo soy el Eterno tu Elohím, que te enseña para tu provecho, que te conduce por el camino que debes seguir”.

Como Padre amoroso Elohím desea enseñarnos y conducirnos por el camino que Él tiene para nosotros. Elohím  siempre está deseoso de que en cada momento y tiempo que estamos pasando lo busquemos para recibir Sus consejos y Su dirección.

Él desea enseñarnos cómo caminar, cómo pensar, cómo actuar, cómo tenerlo presente en cada momento de nuestras vidas. ¡Él desea ser lo primero y lo más importante en nuestras vidas!

Cuando nuestros corazones desean verdaderamente ser dirigidos por Elohím nuestro clamor debería ser la Teh. 25: 4-5:

“Muéstrame tus caminos, Oh Elohím. Enséñame Tus sendas. Guíame en tu verdad y enséñame, porque Tu eres el Elohím de mi salvación”.

COMMENTARY ON THE PARASHAH

"THE TRUE PURPOSE OF THE MITZVOT/COMMANDMENTS OF ELOHIM"

In this portion of the Torah/Parasha, Elohim is talking about the census of the Bnei Israel/Children of Israel.

For Elohim, one of the main reasons of the census is to train His People to serve Him; this serving is to establish an eternal relationship with the Creator that only brings blessings, if we obey Him.

Furthermore, Elohim mentions two different destinies for Israel: or they would rise up to historic greatness, to what they are destined, or they would be destroyed; or they would have success in conquering the land of Israel or, if they fail to follow Elohim, disobeying Him, they would be defeated in attempting.

As we know, the people of Israel proved that were not yet ready to obey Elohim, and that generation was discarded, with the exception of a remnant. It turned out that Elohim´s invitation was a prediction of what was to come.
